Le Moyne College

Registration Information

REGISTRATION DATES AND TIMES

Currently enrolled and returning, matriculated undergraduate students must check ECHO at http://echo.lemoyne.edu to see the date and time that they should register. Non-matriculated undergraduates, Graduate MBA and Graduate Education students may register at different times and dates. Graduate students should contact their graduate office to determine their registration dates. Non-matriculated undergraduates must contact The Center for Continuing Education to determine registration eligibility.

Undergraduate students will register according to credit hours earned. For purposes of registration, credit hours earned is determined by the number of credit hours completed, not counting courses currently in progress.

Credits earned at other colleges are not counted unless an official transcript reflecting those credits has been filed with the Registrar's Office and have been accepted toward your degree.

WHAT ALL STUDENTS NEED TO DO BEFORE THEY REGISTER

You must meet with your Faculty Advisor prior to registering on the Web. Currently, your access to Webadvisor is blocked. Only your advisor has the ability to unblock your access to Webadvisor.

If you don't know how to access your Le Moyne e-mail account, stop into the Info Technology Help Desk office in the Noreen Falcone Library .
  3. Make sure you have no restrictions to your registration.
  4. If you are a matriculated undergraduate student you have been assigned a registration appointment time. In order to view your appointment time and find out when you can register, simply log into ECHO at http://echo.lemoyne.edu , scroll down to the Student Links information on the right hand side of the page and click on My Student Profile. You can check your personal profile information that includes your total credits earned, your earliest date & time to register, whether you have any restrictions that will prevent you from registering and whether your advisor has cleared you to register. Please note: this link will not appear unless you have activated your ECHO account and are logged on.

HOW TO REGISTER ON-LINE USING WEBADVISOR

Webadvisor is Le Moyne College's on-line registration system. All undergraduate, matriculated students must use Webadvisor in order to register for courses. We recommend that you have Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher or Netscape 4.x to run Webadvisor. Both PCs or Macs are acceptable platforms for Webadvisor.

  1. You should have already reviewed and completed the steps listed in what all students need to do before they register.
  2. In Webadvisor, click on the 'Log In' link. A log-in screen should appear. Type in your log-in name and password.
  3. Click on the "Students" link. This will bring you to the Students Menu.
  4. You should open the schedule. The link for the course availability page can be found on the Students Menu page; shown below in the bottom right hand corner. One window should be opened to Webadvisor and one window should be opened to the schedule of classes. This allows you to work in webadvisor and have the schedule open in case you need to look for the classes.

REGISTRATION IS A TWO-STEP PROCESS

STEP ONE: SELECT YOUR COURSES PRIOR TO REGISTRATION

After you log on to webadvisor and have accessed the Students Menu, select ‘Register for Sections.’ This will give you two different ways to select your courses.

A. Express Registration- If you already know the course number or the 4-digit synonym of the courses. We recommend this method of registration. This will place the courses you submit on your preferred list. You are not registered for these courses yet!

Input the appropriate information for each course you will be registering for. If you know the synonym number, all you have to enter is the synonym number and select the term, as shown in the first line above. If you don't know the synonym number, but know the subject, course number and section, you will select the subject and enter the course number and section you wish to register for, as shown in line two above. Make sure the term is correct! Select the current term you are registering for in the drop down menu.

Once you’ve entered all your courses selections, press the ‘SUBMIT’ button at the bottom of the page. REMEMBER this will put your classes on your preferred course list.
You are NOT registered yet!

B. Search and Register for Sections – If you do not know what classes you want to register for, you may click on this option to search for classes. Be sure to fill in 3 fields when searching for classes. Once you submit the classes that you have chosen, this will place them on your preferred list.
You are not registered for these courses yet!

**At this point you are NOT registered for these courses. You can place sections on your preferred list prior to registration time; however you can not register until your designated time.

STEP TWO: REGISTER FOR YOUR SELECTED COURSES

At your designated registration time or anytime after, you will register for your classes from your preferred sections list. Follow the Step One directions above to place courses into your preferred course section. If you have already chosen your courses previously then you may select ‘Register for Previously Selected Courses’ and it will bring you to the following screen shown below:

From the Action Menu from your preferred sections list, click on the classes you would like to register for. However, if you want to register for all your classes in your preferred section then select the ‘Action for All Pref. Sections (or choose below) ’. You have to choose one or the other. Click on ‘SUBMIT’ submit to complete the registration process.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • If for any reason you do not get registered for a course, you will receive an error message. Please pay close attention to these error messages as they will provide an explanation for any failed registration. For example: If you are trying to repeat a course that you have received a grade of a “W”, “WF”, or an “F” or you have previously received credit for this course, you will get a message that says ‘Taken one time(s). Once allowed.’ If you need to repeat a course and you get that message, you need to register for that course in the Registrar’s Office. Failed Registration reasons are listed here.
  • If a course is closed, you need to select a section of that course which is open. You may use the ‘Search and Register for Sections’ link to search for an open section. If all sections are closed, or if this creates a conflict in your schedule, your last alternative is to seek an override form signed by the Department Chair to register for a closed course.
  • If you try to register for a course that the time of the course conflicts with a course you are already registered for or another course you are registering, it will stop you from registering for all courses you submit. You must change the conflicting courses to have registration process go through.

TO VERIFY THAT YOU ARE REGISTERED:

Click on ‘My Class Schedule Link’, select the term you are registering for and you should see the classes that you have been registered for. If these classes do not appear, you have not been registered.

Dropping a Class on Webadvisor

If you need/want to drop a class, you can do this by clicking on ‘Register and Drop Sections’, which is listed on the Students Menu page. Under ‘Current Registration’ check in the drop check box which classes you wish to drop and click on ‘Submit.’ Be sure to check ‘My Class Schedule’ to verify that the course was dropped from your schedule. You are able to drop classes through the second week of a spring or fall term. Refer to the academic calendar for specific dates.
