Student Voicemail System

A common voice mail box has been designed for shared use among occupants within the student rooms. Each resident hall room has been provided with a college owned telephone equipped with a message waiting lamp. The voice mail box programmed to resident hall room extensions require no set up or initialization. It also does not require a password to access messages when called from the room telephone. The message waiting light will illuminate when a message has been left and students only need to call into the voice mail system to retrieve messages. Students are reminded that this is a shared voice mail box and should advise family and friends about leaving messages regarded as personal and private. It is anticipated that most Students will rely upon personal cellular telephones for most of their voice and text communication. Many already have and utilize voice mail on these devices to receive personal and private messages.

Students are expected to be considerate when retrieving messages destined for other room mates. The resident hall voice mail system allows messages to be saved for a period up to two weeks from the date received, so that messages can be later reviewed.
