Le Moyne Theatre Ensembles

The Boot and Buskin Theatre Club

Boot and Buskin is the oldest theatre group on campus. Founded in 1949 by Le Moyne's first director of theatre, Eugene McCarthy, Boot and Buskin has been the primary vehicle for student theatrical activity for over fifty years. Boot and Buskin productions are directed and designed by faculty members or visiting professionals. Student participation is open to all regardless of major. Each term, Boot and Buskin produces two major comedies or dramas plus training workshops. Since the early 1980's Boot and Buskin has been administered by a student staff of 8 to 10 dedicated students selected by the faculty moderator. The student staff both produces Boot and Buskin shows and provides management and technical support to all groups using the Performing Arts Center. Over the course of a typical year over fifty students are involved in Boot and Buskin productions. For more information, drop an email to:

Major Arcana
To see photos from previous Arcana shows check here.

Major Arcana was organized in 1984 by students particularly interested in theatrical directing. Major Arcana productions are directed and designed by students. This group typically produces five to six plays per school term as well as sponsoring an assortment of creative events and workshops. From student authored works to Burn This by Lanford Wilson, pretty much all genres get represented here, with an edge going to the comic and contemporary. For more information, drop an email to:
