As the Madden School's entrepreneur-in-residence, John Liddy links students and alumni working on innovative business ventures to local, regional and national resources that can aid them in making the transition from idea to company.

He leads the development of the School’s entrepreneurial program and teaches the course Entrepreneurial Strategy: The Innovative Firm.

He brings to the role 20 years of experience as an operations executive, most recently serving as general manager of Suburban Propane, a public company in the oil and energy industry. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, operational efficiency, and profit and loss management, as well as financial analysis, organizational development and employee communication. He also serves as director of the Student Sandbox at The Tech Garden, which helps burgeoning entrepreneurs put their ideas into practice.

Liddy was recently selected by the U.S. Small Business Administration (S.B.A.) as the local instructor for the S.B.A.’s prestigious se200 executive education program.
