Danan Tsan, mezzo-soprano, is a versatile performer with a background in classical music (MM ’00 Eastman) and a career full of rock & roll, musical theater and opera. Roles include: The Sorcerer in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice; Matilda Joclyn Gage in Pushed Aside: the story of Matilda Joclyn Gage with The Society for New Music; Maddalena in Rigoletto at Oswego Opera; Charlotte in A Little Night Music with Syracuse Opera; Fantine in Les Misérables with The Baldwinsville Theater; and Aldonza in Man of La Mancha with Syracuse Opera’s summer series. She has also released 4 solo albums of rock & roll, jazz, and new age music while touring with various rock bands around the world. Danan teaches voice at Le Moyne College, and directs the Chamber Singers. Along with being a recurring featured soloist for the Symphoria Pops series, she has been a soloist for Handel's Messiah and Bach's B Minor Mass, and continues to be in demand as a recitalist and performer throughout Central New York.
