The largest of Le Moyne's three academic divisions, the College of Arts & Sciences encompasses 14 departments and a broad range of academic majors and minors across the humanities, social sciences, sciences, and visual and performing arts. It is also the home to the Integral Honors Program and administers the Core Curriculum. A total of 120 full-time faculty members are part of the College, delivering three quarters of Le Moyne’s courses each semester.
Launched in 2012 as the first named school in Le Moyne history, the Madden School is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. With seven majors and eight minors, the School is located in a new state-of-the-art facility that features a trading floor, business analytics lab and collaborative faculty-student work space.
Le Moyne College offers outstanding programs at the undergraduate and graduate level in nursing, physician assistant studies, and occupational therapy. Le Moyne’s Health Professions Advisory Committee works closely with students interested in attending graduate school to pursue a career in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant studies, and optometry.
It's The Core Of What We Do
Le Moyne's Core Curriculum - the courses that all students complete, regardless of their major - is central to our Catholic and Jesuit mission. It provides students with a deep understanding of the liberal arts and sciences, and prepares them to be engaged in the promotion of peace and justice throughout their lives. Through the Core, students develop knowledge and skills necessary to be active members of a global community. The centerpiece of the Core is a first-year seminar, which explores topics as varied as the history of mourning and grief, the philosophy of employment, and the nature of grief.
