Fall 2022 Madden Lecture "Democratising Startups"
On Thursday, Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m., join us for “Democratising Startups,” the Fall 2022 Madden Lecture, which will be delivered by Eamonn Carey. This talk will take place in Panasci Family Chapel on the Le Moyne campus.
A founder, author and investor in more than 100 companies, Carey currently serves as a general partner at the Estonia-based venture capital fund Tera Ventures. He is also the author of The Startup Lexicon, a simple guide to the complex, opaque and sometimes unfriendly language of the tech and startup worlds. With humor and wit, Carey will share what he’s learned about navigating – and finding success in – this distinct landscape.
Before joining Tera, he established The Fund, an organization dedicated to supporting the next generation of local entrepreneurs, and ran Techstars accelerator programs in New York City and London. Carey first started building games as an eight-year-old, and his love for technology lives on to this day.
Prior to the talk, at 5 p.m. there will be a ribbon-cutting for the Keenan Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, in the former Le Moyne Plaza on the west-end of campus.
The event is sponsored by the Keenan Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Madden School of Business. For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
