Le Moyne College Calendar

The Cuban musician and singer Liamna Pestana, and the Argentinian musician and string-instrument maker (luthier) Daniel Yost will give a talk about the important cultural contribution made by the Arabs to Spanish music, song, and instruments since the 8th century, period of its first introduction in Muslim Spain (known as Al-Andalus) up to nowadays.

Additionally, the musicians will perform different songs and instruments (most of them made by Daniel) as homage and exploration of classical Arab culture in Spain.

The event is sponsored by the El Hindi Fun. and the Department of Foreign Languages at Le Moyne College.
