    Do All Roads Lead to Rome? European Dilemmas of Citizenship and Migration

    Civic engagement is critical if we are to welcome migrants to our nation in a way that is dignified and reformulate the way we think of citizenship in the 21st century. Maurizio Albahari, Ph.D. will share what he has learned about migrant-refugee mobility and policy options being pursued in Europe broadly and Italy specifically. Dr. Albahari is an associate professor of anthropology at the University of Notre Dame.

    This is the 2019 Hesburgh Lecture. Sponsored by the departments of Political Science and Peace and Global Studies, Office of Mission Integration, and Sanzone Center for Catholic Studies and Theological Reflection at Le Moyne, as well as the Notre Dame Club of Central New York/Syracuse.
