Cindy L. Freeman is retired from a 45-year career in music education and performance. Although writing fiction was a lifelong passion for Freeman, she did not become an author until after the age of 60. In her two latest works, published by High Tide Publications, "The Darkroom" and "I Want to Go Home," she tackles the difficult issues of child abuse and homelessness.

A native of Central New York, Freeman lives in James City County, Va.
