Creativity is often thought of as a golden solution for social injustice, education and community development, as well as for cultivating a full life, saving Earth from catastrophic destruction and providing select humans with fame, fortune and infinite Facebook followers. Artist, human and teacher Laura Reeder will take a critical look at creativity as an unspectacular, yet necessary, force in our everyday lives. Reeder’s expertise in creativity comes from working and walking through life as a teaching artist in higher education, public schools and cultural organizations in the United States and internationally.

This event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Department of Visual and Performing Arts.
