Manresa helps integrate students' desires to find meaningful employment with their longing to explore their interests and pursue their passions. Through Manresa, students pursue their vocations—their callings—and develop personally, professionally and spiritually. 

Growth in All Ways

Gifts to endow the Manresa will enable the College to ensure that any student who wants to participate has the opportunity to do so. Due to the considerable personal, academic and career mentoring that they will receive through Manresa, students will be on track to graduate within four years, and early career exploration will help them align their goals with various internship and professional opportunities. Generous support of Manresa will enable each Le Moyne students to pursue a higher calling.

Le Moyne’s dynamic Manresa Program helps students answer the most critical question they will ever face: How am I going to spend the rest of my life? It is a career preparation program unlike any other, a blend of academic, spiritual and professional pursuits that evolves over a student’s four years at the College. Simply put, Manresa is where passion and purpose meet profession.

Nearly every day Jeffry Matteo ’19 ponders this question: What will I do with the rest of my life? There is a lot to consider, including what his greatest areas of interest are, where he wants to leave his mark in the world, and how he wants to contribute to his community outside of his professional life. But for Matteo – a criminology major who is leaning toward a career as a federal detective – the answer to that question has become clearer since enrolling in Le Moyne’s Manresa Program.

Le Moyne College has received a $100,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) that will be used to launch a minor in values and professional ethics. The initiative will build on and expand the impact of Le Moyne’s burgeoning Manresa Program, a four-year sequence of co-curricular programming designed to facilitate students’ personal and professional development.
