The Le Moyne College Athletic Department along with the Onondaga County Health Department are sponsoring the educational symposium “Athletes and the Opioid Epidemic” on Wednesday, Jan.17 at 6 p.m. The symposium will have both local and national experts speak about the impact of the opioid epidemic on our community, as well as what can be done to prevent and treat opioid addiction within the athlete population.

The symposium will take place in the James Commons, located in the Campus Center on the Le Moyne campus. There will be free parking for the event. Community organizations will be present to provide information about available community resources at 5:30 p.m. and the symposium will begin at 6 p.m.
