Le Moyne Breaks New Ground With College’s First Fully Online Program

Le Moyne College announced today its first-ever fully online program - the Advanced Certificate in Arts Administration. Designed with current and aspiring arts managers in mind, the graduate-level certificate’s curriculum will include courses in marketing, fundraising, community engagement, and financial management, as well as one focused on issues and trends facing the museum industry.

“We’re so excited to launch this program starting this summer,” said Travis Newton, associate professor and director of arts administration at Le Moyne.  “It’s a great opportunity for current arts administrators, artists, and anyone who is passionate about the future of our industry to learn how to make meaningful connections between the arts and communities.”

The certificate includes five courses, and it may be completed in one year.  All five courses will be taught 100% online by faculty with extensive experience in online course delivery.  “We’ve taken our time in developing this certificate,” said Newton. “We are fortunate to have some of the most talented arts administration educators in the country teaching in this program, all of whom have taught online for a number of years.”

The first course for the certificate will be offered during the College’s summer session, starting in early July. For more information about the program and to register, email [email protected]. This program is pending approval by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
