    Being A Dolphin

It’s been four months since I’ve been gone, away from my dolphin family here at Le Moyne. I haven’t been here in Syracuse for a while, but for some reason it feels like I was just here the other week.

Le Moyne gave me the opportunity to learn outside the box and study abroad in London for part of my life. I learned more about the world, but I learned about myself as well. I learned how to think, and how to give people inspiration to follow their dreams. I learned the true definition of being a dolphin…

“…emphasis is on education of the whole person and on the search for meaning and value as integral parts of the intellectual life” –Le Moyne College

As I walk down the sidewalk of campus I see a few familiar faces, but I see so many new ones as well. I wonder what this semester has in store for me. I wonder whom I will meet, and whom I will reconnect with. I wonder what every student wonders… will my classes be easy? I wonder what difference I will make in my fellow dolphins lives in my last year and a half here at the college.

When I was away in London I often found myself getting up early and staying up late just trying to enjoy every second that I possibly could abroad. I would get lost… and lost again without a care in the world because I knew I would see and experience new things. Sometimes life’s greatest adventures come from taking chances. I took many chances.

I want to take so many chances here at Le Moyne. I want to get out of my comfort zone and make the best of my time here.

I look up and I see it, I see the Le Moyne flag flying across Grewen Hall and know I’m back home.
