Humans of Le Moyne: Colleen Miller

Majoring in Business Analytics and Marketing with a minor in Entrepreneurship, Colleen Miller graduated May 2019 feeling accomplished about what she’s done with her time here at Le Moyne. As she says, “I'm proud about how much Le Moyne has challenged me and allowed me to grow as a person during the last four years.” This growth has meant something else to Ms. Miller as she begins working June 2019 as a Data Analyst at BNY Mellon here in Syracuse. ⁣

Part of Colleen’s experience on the Heights meant leaving the Heights. She spent a summer at ESADE in Barcelona, Spain where she was able to connect with peers from across the globe who were interested in business and share their diverse perspectives. Her participation in the program grounded her sense of a truly global economy. ⁣

Ms. Miller’s course of studies was done with the same enthusiasm and commitment that she puts into all she challenges herself to do. One result of her work ethic was achieving the Frank and Margaret Ahrens Memorial Medal in General Business because she achieved the highest average in the general business curriculum. Add to that numerous internships on and off campus, as well a high level of community engagement and all can see Colleen Miller has taken Le Moyne’s mission to heart. ⁣

Her advice to fellow ‘Phins? “Challenge yourself in a way that you haven't in the past. Whether that means taking classes outside your comfort zone, studying abroad, or joining something new, these are all experiences that will inevitably lead to positive growth even though they may seem intimidating at the onset. Also, remember to enjoy your time as a Phin because it flies by!”⁣
