Humans of Le Moyne: Grace Bachman

Grace Bachman arrived on the Le Moyne campus in the fall of 2015. Since that time, she has forged relationships, excelled in classes, and pushed personal boundaries to grow into a person she is proud of today. With a major in Accounting and in the midst of completing the 150-hour program to finish her MBA, Grace will leave The Heights in May of 2020 and share her energy and talents as an Associate Tax Accountant at the Liberty Mutual
    Insurance headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts.

As she reflects on her time here at Le Moyne, Grace notes, “The people and the connections I have made are what I am proud of. Everyone has been extremely helpful and kind. There is always someone available to help when you need it. I consider myself extremely lucky for the people I have met along my journey at Le Moyne College”

Her journey includes several internships in the field of Accounting. She accessed these opportunities by maintaining strong communication with her professors and the Office of Career Advising and Development. She also made sure to attend Accounting Fairs, Career Fairs, and information sessions and workshops hosted by companies coming to visit campus. Grace understands the importance of seeking opportunities and connecting with those who can guide her as she journeys ahead. She notes that Le Moyne alumni have been an integral part of the connections she has made, and she most definitely will be a connection for future Phins.

In preparing for her future, Grace shares with us, “Le Moyne College has taught me the value of hardwork and dedication. In addition, Le Moyne has given me a wonderful education and taught me the importance of appreciating my peers and those who came before me.” And her advice for fellow Phins? “Le Moyne provides very useful resources for moving forward after college. USE the resources! The Career Advising office employs amazing staff members dedicated to helping students and alumni launch their career path. They provide very effective tools, such as resume corrections and guides to get your career started and it’s all FREE! Use it!”
