Humans of Le Moyne: Elizabeth Maguire

Elizabeth Maguire will graduate in May of 2021 with dual majors in Business Analytics and Marketing. With time left on campus, Elizabeth is making the most of her experience - from painting shoes for an internship application to playing on the Women’s Soccer team. With her incredibly busy schedule, she has had to prioritize and set goals which were realistic and attainable. In her words, “I am proud of my accomplishments both on the soccer field and off. I have a drive to learn and get better at new things and activities I love. I have become the leading goal scorer two years in a row, and remained on the Dean's list every semester. I am happy with the many connections I have made on campus, both by working as the Social Media Content work study in Career and Advising, as well as with professors in the classroom.” Her campus engagement reaches from leadership roles in the Advertising club to community volunteer opportunities.

When Elizabeth Maguire leaves Le Moyne, she hopes to become an analyst or manager for a marketing firm or an account manager so she can make connections with clients and utilize her strong communication skills and positive approach to what lies ahead. The target city is Boston, so we have our eye on finding her there beginning the summer of 2021.

In reflecting on her direction thus far, Elizabeth feels she has been on the right track. Her experiences up to this point have been varied, but all move her closer to personal and professional goals. As she notes, “I am certified in Google Analytics and will be Certified in Google Ads soon. Working with Career Advising and Development, has given me another outlook on digital media in how I may decide to pursue that one day because of how digital our world has become. Advertising Club has also been amazing. It has given me the opportunity of what it is like in the process of creating a campaign and pitching the idea, to convince them that our campaign is the best that they will see. Also becoming a part of Heights Global Marketing has been so new and exciting because now I am put into a position where I am doing exactly what I want when I get older."
