    Boosting Confidence, Building Connections

During his time at Le Moyne, Dan Mulvihill '20 was the Political Science Academy president, studied abroad in the Netherlands, and completed internships with Senator Chuck Schumer, Mayor Ben Walsh, and Raymour & Flannigan.

Since graduating during the pandemic, Dan has been working towards his MPA at Syracuse University and working as a Graduate Assistant with SU Libraries. His goal is to work in a municipal, legislative, or federal office and implement effective policy in the areas of infrastructure, foreign affairs, education, or security.

He is appreciative of the connections his time in Manresa provided. “As a commuter, the Manresa Program gave me a greater connection to the campus, faculty, and students. The program helped me assess my values, specify my goals, and guide me to paths that fit what I wanted out of my professional career. Having the opportunity to work on my resume with peers and skilled staff boosted my confidence in the internship application process. My favorite memory of the Manresa Program was taking a trip to D.C. to make connections with alumni and discussing practical application of the skills acquired from a Jesuit education.”
