Reaching My Career Goals
As a pre-dental student, I need specific coursework to fulfill dental school admissions requirements. While I had already earned a B.S. in biology prior coming to Le Moyne, I lacked some prerequisite courses, namely Biochemistry and Anatomy and Physiology. Le Moyne College offers these courses at the appropriate level for an aspiring medical professional. In 2017, this department noticed that almost all of the students enrolling in the C.E. program were pre-health, and sought feedback to see how Le Moyne could cater to the unique needs of their non-traditional pre-health students. I was put in touch with Le Moyne professors and staff who have been willing to share their insights on the path to becoming a medical professional, and I have benefited from mock interview opportunities with them. Also, being introduced to other Le Moyne post-bacc pre-health students has been the best form of support in transitioning back into the world of taking college classes.
