DESCRIPTION:A philosopher\, educator and polymath monk\, The Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi Rinpoche ’01 is the president and CEO of the Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Venerable Tenzin entered a Buddhist monastery at the age of 10. In addition to his undergraduate degree in philosophy\, physics and religious studies from Le Moyne\, he completed his graduate studies in Philosophy of Religion at Harvard University. He is the author of Running Toward Mystery – The Adventure of an Unconventional Life and Solivagant — Tales of Solitude & Wonderment. Venerable Tenzin will address how emerging technologies shape our understanding of empathy\, ethics and human identity.  \n\nPlease note: no registration is required for the event.\n\nReception to follow in the Drescher Community Room\, Panasci Family Chapel.\n\nThis lecture is presented in partnership with the Grace Center for Faith and Community.
