SUMMARY:Spring Awakening
DESCRIPTION:Winner of eight Tony Awards\, Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood through an electrifying fusion of morality\, sexuality and rock and roll.\n\nBy Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater with direction by Maya June Dwyer and music direction by Greg Giovanini.\n\nAudiences are invited to a conversation with the director at 1 p.m. at Salt City Coffee at the McNeil Firehouse prior to the Saturday matinee. Additionally\, there will be a talkback with the cast in the theatre immediately following that performance.\n\nSpring Awakening contains mature and potentially distressing themes\, including strong sexual content\, sexual assault\, suicide\, physical and emotional abuse and abortion. Viewer discretion is strongly advised\, especially for younger audiences under 16 years old.\n\nTickets are available at the Performing Arts Center box office\, online at lemoyne.edu/vpa or by calling (315) 445-4200.
