DESCRIPTION:In honor of Native American Heritage Month (November)\, Rebecca Pelky\, a citizen of the Brothertown Indian Nation and newly appointed assistant professor in the Department of English\, will read from her poetry collection\, Through a Red Place\, along with some new work. Pelky’s poetry focuses on historic and contemporary issues facing Indigenous people\, specifically in the Northwest and Great Lakes regions. A question-and-answer session will follow the reading.
