StartFast Teams Begin Work on Le Moyne Campus

On June 13, the Madden School of Business officially welcomed to campus five high-growth companies that are participating in the 2017 StartFast Venture Accelerator program. Through a partnership with StartFast, the teams will work out of Mitchell Hall and also live on campus this summer. This is the third summer that Le Moyne has hosted StartFast on campus. The five teams in the 2017 program emerged at the top after a review of more than 2,000 startups.

StartFast Venture Accelerator brings teams of entrepreneurs from around the world to Syracuse every year for three months of coaching, mentoring and business development. The program culminates with a Demo Day when companies get the opportunity to demonstrate their products in front of potential funders. A number of student interns - including Le Moyne students Ralph Ramano and Evan Connelly - will work with the five teams throughout the summer.

According to Madden School Dean Jim Joseph, “We are so pleased to welcome StartFast back to campus once again. In addition to utilizing our state of the art facilities, StartFast will introduce scores of amazing mentors and investors to our program, while providing unparalleled learning opportunities for student interns that will provide hands-on, real-world experience to these budding entrepreneurs.”
