Undergraduate Application
As a potential first-year student, you can apply with Le Moyne’s Application, by adding Le Moyne to your list of schools in the Common Application, or with the Coalition Application (powered by Scoir).
Transfer Application
As a potential transfer student, you can apply with Le Moyne’s Application, by adding Le Moyne to your list of schools in the Common Application, or with the Coalition Application (powered by Scoir). The deadline to apply to transfer for the fall semester is August 1; for the spring it is December 1. Completed transfer applications are always considered on a rolling basis, so it’s always in your favor to apply before these dates.
Graduate Application
As a potential graduate student, you can apply for most programs through the Le Moyne Application. However, our graduate application requirements vary by program, so it’s best to check the details regarding the program you’re interested in.

Admission Requirements
A quick look at admission requirements
First-year students will need to submit the following:
- Completed Application
- Personal Essay – Your short personal essay must be at least 250 words in length. For your essay, you can do one of the following:
- Submit a copy of a paper that you’ve written for class within the past year. Include your teacher’s comments and the grade you got on the essay.
- Write about a topic of your choice (i.e., an important person or event that has impacted your life; a story about your background, identity, talent; a challenge in your life and how you’ve overcome it, etc.)
- Discuss how an education at Le Moyne College will help you achieve your long-term goals.
- Letters of Recommendation – One academic letter of recommendation is required, preferably from either a school counselor or teacher.
- Official High School Transcript
First-year students will need to submit the following:

- AP, IB and College Credits – Students who take Advanced Placement (AP) courses, International Baccalaureate (IB) or other college-credit-bearing courses while in high school may qualify for Le Moyne College credit. For more specific information, explore transferring credit.
- Ventures Outside the Classroom – At Le Moyne, we value an entrepreneurial mindset and celebrate what our students achieve outside of the classroom. If you have a project, business plan or other venture that captures the spirit of learning by doing, you may attach it to your application.

- Official Transcripts – Official transcripts must be submitted from your high school and each college you’ve attended. Applicants who have more than 24 college credits at the time of application aren’t required to submit a high school transcript.
- Academic Requirements – Most programs at Le Moyne require a 2.6 cumulative G.P.A. to be considered for admission. You must have completed at least the third year of high school college-preparatory mathematics or intermediate algebra at the college level. Lastly, proficiency in English and the intended area of study must be demonstrated in your academic record.
