Le Moyne Chartered into Gamma Iota Sigma as the Delta Tau Chapter
The McNeil Institute of Risk and Uncertainty and the Madden College of Business and Economics are pleased to announce that Le Moyne College has been formally chartered into Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS), the international professional fraternity for students of risk management, insurance and actuarial science. The new Delta Tau Chapter was recognized at the 54th Annual International Conference held in Hartford, Conn. on Thursday, Sept. 25.

Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) is the leading international organization dedicated to preparing students for careers in risk management, insurance, and related fields. Through its network of more than 100 chapters, GIS provides students with:
- Extensive professional development opportunities;
- Networking and mentorship with industry leaders and peers nationwide;
- Access to internships, scholarships, and career resources; and
- Engagement in leadership, service, and philanthropic initiatives.
The establishment of the Delta Tau Chapter at Le Moyne represents a significant advancement for the College’s Risk Management and Insurance program. It will expand academic and professional opportunities for students across disciplines while further strengthening Le Moyne’s presence within this vital and rapidly evolving industry.
