Dolphins in Action: A Day of Service and Connection
Le Moyne students and neighbors rolled up their sleeves for a Neighborhood Clean-Up, sponsored by The Le Moyne Way and the Salt Springs Neighborhood Association. More than 150 volunteers gathered at the McNeil Firehouse before heading out to care for the streets and green spaces that surround our campus.
Hands in Action, Hearts in Service
What made the day stand out wasn’t just the work — it was the connection. Students shared how meaningful it felt to meet others who shared their values and passion for service.
“It was nice being part of a group with like-minded individuals,” one volunteer reflected. Another added that they enjoyed learning how their fellow students are involved on campus and finding new ways to connect beyond the classroom.
Many noticed how clean the neighborhood already was, expressing pride and gratitude for both the residents and Le Moyne students who care deeply about the place they call home.
For some, the experience sparked a desire to keep volunteering; for others, it was a simple moment to make a small but meaningful impact.
The day wrapped up back at Barb’s Bistro at the McNeil Firehouse with coffee from Salt City Coffee: the perfect chance to relax, share stories, and celebrate community.
Events like this reflect what makes Le Moyne special: a campus and a community grounded in care, connection, and service. The Le Moyne Way looks forward to continuing these efforts to strengthen the bond with the neighborhood we’re proud to call home.
