Transgender Pedagogies

Qui Alexander, Ph.D., and Lore/tta LeMaster, Ph.D., will invite participants to explore the disciplinary, cultural and pedagogical tools that can be used to build a political commitment to honor and protect trans lives, with the understanding that every one of us should be treated with dignity. Dr. Alexander and Dr. LeMaster work in the field of trans studies, the scholarly pursuit of knowledge as it pertains to trans life, trans communities and trans ways of knowing.

Dr.Alexander is an assistant professor of gender, sexuality and trans studies in curriculum
and pedagogy at the University of Toronto. Dr. LeMaster is an associate professor of social justice education at the University of Toronto. This event will be moderated by Beck Wehrle, Ph.D., an assistant professor of biological and environmental sciences at Le Moyne College.
