Alejandro Simón Partal (Estepona, Málaga, 1983) holds a doctorate in Hispanic philology.
Simón Partal has taught at universities in France, the Czech Republic and Spain. He is
the author of essays, plays, and five poetry collections that have received international
awards such as the Arcipreste de Hita Prize and the Hermanos Argensola Prize, and
which were compiled in Ese de anoche (Aguilar, 2023). With his novel La parcela
(Caballo de Troya, 2021), Simón Partal won the Cálamo Prize “Otra Mirada.” La planta
baja. Diario de rodaje (Plaza and Janés, 2024) is his most recent book. He currently directs
the Biblioteca de Culturas Contemporáneas in Estepona.
