Institutional Location Policy

I. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to comply with federal regulations on state authorization (34 CFR 600.9) and professional licensure disclosures (34 CFR 668.43 and 668.14(b)(32)).

II. Scope
This policy applies to all Le Moyne College matriculated students for whom state authorization or professional licensure disclosure requirements apply. This applies to all students regardless of whether their program is in-person, hybrid, or online.

III. Policy Statement
An enrolled student’s physical location for purposes of state authorization and professional licensure disclosures will be determined at the time of application to Le Moyne College and at the time a student declares an academic major that leads to eligibility for licensure or certification when such declaration occurs after initial enrollment at Le Moyne College. Students are responsible for notifying the College of any change in permanent and/or local address. Change of Address forms are available online through the Registrar’s Office (https://www.lemoyne.edu/registrar/).

IV. Definitions
Student Physical Location – means the U.S. state or territory of the student’s permanent (“home”) address and residence at the time of Initial Enrollment, as self-reported by the student. After Initial Enrollment, for continuing or matriculated students, “Student Physical Location” means the “current” or “campus” address in which the student is physically present while engaging in coursework, clinical experiences, internships, or other required programmatic activities. For students with a permanent address that does not include a U.S. state or territory (e.g., students living outside of the United States), their location will be considered the State of New York.

V. Review and Update of Policy
This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if federal or state regulations change.
