An Ecofeminist Contemplative Practice for the Anthropocene

Globally, communities continue to experience the compounding consequences of the climate crises in 2026 as wildfires rage and extreme temperatures continue to rise. They also feel and witness the effects of slow environmental violences such as toxins in their soil, water, and air that are most felt by structurally marginalized communities. These experiences are inherently entangled in structures of oppression that require us to move beyond dominant climate solution narratives.

This talk will be led by Amanda M. Kingston, a doctoral candidate in the Cultural Foundations of Education program at Syracuse University.
