Furkan Oztanriseven (better known as Oz) is an assistant professor of business analytics. He has been teaching at Le Moyne College since fall 2016. He completed his PhD in industrial engineering at the University of Arkansas in summer 2016. He received master degrees in business administration and industrial and systems engineering from Colorado State University-Pueblo in spring 2011.
Oz has taught business analytics, supply chain management, simulation and risk analysis, and industrial economic analysis. He received the best teaching assistant award in two consecutive years at the University of Arkansas.
His primary areas of research involve logistics modeling, transportation systems, disruption response and homeland security, sustainability, and economic decision analysis. His research is funded by several notable governmental agencies such as the U. S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Oz is passionate about teaching, long-term value investing, and playing volleyball.
