In this talk, Linda Villarosa will address the intersections of race and health inequities. Villarosa has written extensively on critical health issues facing the Black community. She is a contributing writer for the New York Times Magazine and author of the 2022 New York Times Top Ten Book “Under the Skin: The Hidden Toll of Racism on American Lives and on the Health of the Nation.”

Covering the intersection of health and medicine and social justice, Villaros is a journalist in residence and professor at the Craig Newmark School of Journalism at CUNY and teaches journalism, medicine and Black Studies at the City College of New York.
