    Jim Boeheim to Give Keynote at StartFast Demo Day at Le Moyne on Aug. 9

    On Thursday, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. SU Basketball Coach Jim Boeheim will deliver the keynote address at Demo Day 2018, the culminating event for this year’s StartFast Venture Accelerator, which for the fifth consecutive summer is being hosted at the Madden School of Business.

    Boeheim will discuss trends in early-stage tech, his experience investing in tech startups, and the revitalization of the Central New York economy. The event will take place in the Le Moyne Campus Center; click here to register for Demo Day.

    StartFast scours the globe to recruit and invest in the most promising early-stage tech startups, and Demo Day is an opportunity for the start-up community to come together and meet the teams that have been developing their ideas throughout the summer.     This year, the five teams participating in StartFast are from India, Brazil, San Francisco, Charlotte and Sarasota. Their founders have decades of experience, most are already generating revenue, many are raising their second round of funding and all are leaders in their industries.

    This year’s teams are:

    3D Usher is revolutionizing low volume manufacturing by leveraging a network of CNC machine shops, 3D printers, and other manufacturing technologies.
    Automation Intellect is helping mid-size discrete manufacturers cut costs and improve the efficiency of their automated equipment.
    Designer Inc. is the product marketplace for the trade-only interior design industry and offers an online shopping experience for certified interior .
    Fastdezine is the outsource arm for marketing department's digital ad design needs, providing a network of freelance designers and an automated project management tool.
    LotMonkey helps auto dealers sell more cars faster through better use of on-lot merchandising such as banners, hang tags, and decals.
