Board of Regents
Advancing the Mission of Le Moyne College
Key to our fund development and outreach efforts, the Board of Regents serves as a vital bridge between Le Moyne College and the broader world . Regents are appointed to three-year terms, during which they lend their leadership and expertise to advance philanthropy, champion institutional priorities, and serve as dedicated ambassadors. The Board annually hosts the Founders’ Day Gala, the College’s premier event celebrating Le Moyne’s founding and conferring the prestigious Simon LeMoyne Award for outstanding societal leadership. Over the past three years, event proceeds have directed more than $1 million to the Le Moyne College Scholarship Fund. Throughout their terms, members partner closely with the President, administration, and fellow governing boards to support capital campaigns and assist with student recruitment. Serving as global champions, Regents focus their ambassadorship on expanding college access and elevating student opportunities, actively representing the College across campus, in local communities, and around the world.

The Simon Le Moyne Medal
The prestigious Simon Le Moyne Medal recognizes outstanding leadership benefiting society. The medal embodies the ideals of Rev. Simon Le Moyne, the first European to visit the Syracuse area, symbolizing peace, faith, vision, and courage. Since 1968, Le Moyne College has honored local and national leaders with this esteemed award. The Simon Le Moyne Medal is presented at the Founders’ Day gala annually.
