What ethical issues does the proliferation of Artificial Intelligence—or “alien intelligence,” a term proposed by Yuval—generate for humanity? Drawing from Christian Ethics, particularly Catholic Social Teaching, Fred Glennon will address the human values and ethical norms that should guide and regulate the continued development of A.I. Joseph Spino will offer a response from the perspective of philosophical ethics. There will be plenty of time for general discussion.

Presenting will be Fred Glennon, Ph.D., professor of religious studies and the responding will be Joseph Spino, Ph.D., McNeil associate professor of applied ethics.
