An Evening with Cybersecurity Pioneer Clifford “Cliff” Stoll

On Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m. in room 100 of the science addition, there will be a talk by cybersecurity pioneer Clifford “Cliff” Stoll.

An astronomer and cybersecurity trailblazer, Stoll is best known for turning a 75-cent accounting glitch into the unraveling of a Soviet KGB cyber-espionage ring – a legendary pursuit chronicled in his bestselling book, The Cuckoo’s Egg. Beyond laying the foundations of modern digital forensics and recently keynoting DEF CON 34, he is an accomplished author, educator and maker renowned for crafting glass structures at Acme Klein Bottles and appearing on the extremely popular YouTube channel Numberphile.
