This exhibit will feature the work of Syracuse claymates and ceramicists Linda Malik, Mary Stanley and Wes Weiss.

Humans have long used ceramics to capture their vision of powerful forces, whether those forces be human, natural or cosmic. Clay in particular reveals frightening impulses and profound desires, as it literally concretizes beauty. In this exhibit, three local ceramic artists use this natural, malleable material to comment on contemporary “wicked” problems, those that are dense and hard to solve. Their work provokes reflection, dialogue, emotional engagement and intellectual analysis.

This exhibit will run from Sept. 1 through Oct. 29. It is free and open to the public during regular library hours. For more information, contact artgallery@lemoyne.edu
