    Knowing Nostalgia

As a widely respected expert in nostalgia, Krystine Batcho's work has been featured in the New York Times and Washington Post, as well as in Oprah magazine, but nothing gives her greater joy than working with her students at Le Moyne.

Words to Live – and Learn – By

At 101-year-old, Ruth Johnson Colvin still looks to the future, not the past. She shared her love of words – as well as her optimism and joy – with the class of 2018 as the College's commencement speaker.

    Embracing Mother Earth

Hilary McManus traveled to one of the coldest, windiest and iciest places on Earth – Antarctica – to study humankind’s impact on the environment firsthand. She witnessed whales, penguins and seals in their natural environment, as well as the impact of climate change.

    Renaissance Man

Matthew Civilette is a Renaissance man, as passionate about music and track as he is about the study of biology. Thoughtful and insightful, Civilette approaches everything he does with an eye toward the moral and ethical.

The Value of a Liberal Arts Education

At a time when the value of the Liberal Arts has been questioned in our society, Le Moyne serves a critical social role. As we seek to educate our students as whole people, critical thinkers, and engaged citizens, we also strive to give them opportunities for professional training and meaningful success.
