Teamwork is essential in every professional environment, but even more so in the high-stakes world of sports business. Maura McNeil ’20 embodies this philosophy in her role as a digital sales planner for the National Football League (NFL). As part of a five-person team, she ensures that brands advertising with the NFL maximize their investment.

A Skaneateles, N.Y. native, McNeil’s career was shaped by her time at Le Moyne, where she learned from professionals in the field. She gained hands-on experience through internships at Pinckney Hugo Group, the Syracuse Rescue Mission, Constellation Brands, and Three Brothers Wineries and Estates. These experiences helped her drive ad campaign strategy, conduct brand research, manage social media content, and engage customers authentically.

Though she was not an avid football fan before joining the NFL, McNeil values the unique connections sports create—whether through favorite teams, players, or stadium experiences. She hopes to continue growing in her role and within the organization.

Always challenge yourself to learn and to innovate!
