Le Moyne Receives Record Number of Applications for Admission

Following several years of steady growth, a record 8,000-plus applications for first-year enrollment have been received by Le Moyne College’s Office of Admission as it recruits the class of 2029. The previous record was set in 2024, when approximately 7,900 applications were received.
“Passing the 8,000 application mark is a clear indication that interest in attending Le Moyne has never been higher,” said Tim Lee, vice president for enrollment management. “Students and their parents appreciate our strong reputation for academic excellence, the significant investment in our facilities and the success of our students and alumni.”
“As a Jesuit institution, Le Moyne prides itself on cura personalis, or care for the whole person, with students receiving individual attention from faculty who are among the best in their discipline,” said Le Moyne President Linda LeMura. “The high level of interest this year and over the past several years are evidence that Le Moyne is an institution on the rise.”
Among recent developments:
- Stellar performance in rankings announced over the past six months, including the highest-ever ranking by U.S. News & World Report and strong showings in both Money Magazine and the Wall Street Journal/College Pulse rankings.
- In a survey for the class of 2023, 97% reported that they were either employed or in graduate school (compared to the national average of 85%.)
- The three-year renovation and refurbishment of Reilly Hall, the College’s largest academic building, was completed in fall 2024.
- Plans announced in 2024 for more than $50 million in new and renovated facilities for the Thomas J. Niland Jr. Athletic Complex, which followed the College’s move to Division I in 2023.
- Strong enrollment for recent first-year classes, including the class of 2028 when 640 students were welcomed to the Heights.
- In August the College will open the McNeil Firehouse to students, which will include a Café Kubal location with flexible space for a range of programming, including musical performances and film screenings.
- Impressive professional achievement by Le Moyne’s alumni, including Astronaut Jeanette Epps ’92, who spent seven months on the International Space Station last year.
You’ll find the Heights to be a place that is completely (and unapologetically) optimistic.
