CNN Heroes has announced that Andrew Lunetta ‘12, founder and executive director of A Tiny Home for Good, is one of five finalists for 2026 CNN Hero of the Year. In July, he was named the CNN Hero of the Week by the network. The recognition honors individuals who make extraordinary contributions to humanitarian aid and make a difference in their communities.

Founded in 2016, A Tiny Home for Good’s mission is to end homelessness in Syracuse by building homes on vacant lots or renovate derelict properties, which are then rented to an individual or family who has faced homelessness. His nonprofit has built 23 tiny homes and refurbished almost two dozen other properties.
