The requirements for admission to the Doctorate in Executive Leadership (Ed.D.) program are listed below. The fee to apply is only $75 (waived for Le Moyne current students and alumni). We encourage applications from students with diverse academic and professional backgrounds. You can learn more about the program here.
Applicants with the following qualifications will be given priority:
Interviews for competitive applicants will be by invitation only.
Priority Admission Deadlines*: Fall 2021 Enrollment: March 1, 2021.
Final Deadline: June 1, 2021.
*Applications are considered after these dates on a rolling basis until the program is at capacity.
Official transcripts from all previous colleges will be required for admission. Official degree-bearing transcripts and any additional post-master’s coursework must be submitted by the time of enrollment. Three letters of recommendation from at least one supervisor and other letters from key leaders in the candidate’s professional arena. These letters should attest to the applicant's ability to engage successfully in doctoral level study and demonstrated ability as a leader, critical thinker, problem solver, collaborator and promoter of a just society.
The application will prompt you to upload your Resume or C.V. Please include relevant work experience, examples of professional achievement or other information that might be used to assess your personal qualities and your ability to successfully complete doctoral level work.
The application will prompt you to submit an essay. Please write a brief reflective essay stating, as specifically as possible, your goals for enhancing your leadership skills and impacting your community through education.
Foreign transcripts need to be evaluated course-by-course by one of the member organizations of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Please visit NACES.org for a list of those participating organizations. Note that each organization will have its own instructions on how to submit required documents for evaluation. International applicants who have not earned a degree from an English speaking institution must submit either a TOEFL score report showing at least a 79 or an IELTS score report showing at least a 6.5.
