Le Moyne Makes Movies
A team of Le Moyne students took home second place in the recent Syracuse International Film Festival film challenge. The five-member team had 48 hours to conceive, write, cast, plan, produce shoot and edit a seven minute or less film during the festival, which took place earlier this month. Each team in the competition was given a prop (Syracuse Film Fest hat), a line of dialogue ("We rob banks" from Bonnie and Clyde) and a location (Hotel Syracuse) that they must use in the film.
The Le Moyne Makes Movies team was Dan Satterly (producer/director), Jess Schafer (editor), Lauren Devlin (director of photography), Edward Deaver (assistant camera) and Clemente Rufo (gaffer/location sound). The film starred Maggie Flowers, Jean Luc Saliva and Joseph Cook. Advising on the production was Bryan Cole from communications and film studies.
