For Alisha Espinosa ’12, a love for acting and the theater can be attributed in part to “efficiency.”  As a child, she loved stories and singing more than anything, There was a period in her life when she wanted to be the next Whitney Houston - and the next great American novelist. She found her way to Le Moyne, where she majored in theatre arts and English and was in Le Moyne’s Integral Honors Program. Today she serves as producing artistic director of the Latinx Playwrights Circle.

Kali (Webber) Hicks, M.S.  ’20 has transformed her passion for education, art, development and community engagement into a career that in many ways seems destined for her. Hicks is the audience development and engagement specialist at Proctors Collaborative, a theater in New York’s capital region. She used to visit Proctors as a child with her family. Today her work there as an allows her to inspire, educate and connect people in the community she calls home.

Carol ’79 and Tom ’79 Fletcher founded CR Fletcher Associates nearly 34 years ago guided by professionalism, integrity and passion. When the time came for the Fletchers to select a new generation of professionals to guide the company toward the future, they knew they wanted to find people who were as committed to those values as they were. When a bus full of students pulls up in front of the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology (MOST), Tino Laterza ’19, M.S. ’21 cannot help but smile. That is when Laterza, who serves as the museum’s director of guest services, feels most connected to the museum’s mission of educating the next generation of scientists, engineers, technologists and mathematicians. Every visit is an opportunity to spark a child’s curiosity and imagination.

Brittany Juravich, M.S.. ’18 loves sharing hidden gems in Syracuse and Onondaga County – both with visitors and longtime residents looking for something unique to do in the area. A graduate of Le Moyne’s master’s degree program in arts administration, Juravich is the special projects manager for Visit Syracuse. She loves helping local businesses to boost their revenues, create jobs and reinforce a sense of pride in Central New York. "I wear a lot of hats in this role," she says.

Jamie Leone ’22 recalls the advice she received shortly after enrolling in Le Moyne’s master’s degree program in occupational therapy. Don’t be afraid to forge your own path in this field, particularly as it continues to grow and evolve. Leone took those words to heart as she began building her career. She committed herself to being curious and observant, someone who is self-possessed, open to change and committed to a lifetime of learning.

Sophia Roberts ’22 has always loved science. As a child, Roberts found herself carefully observing the treatment her father received for several cardiac issues he faced. No one in her family worked in health care, so the field was entirely new to her. She recently graduated from Le Moyne’s Dual Degree in Three Program in nursing, and now serves as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department of Saint Luke’s Campus of the Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, N.Y.
