As an undergraduate political science major at Le Moyne, you’ll choose a concentration in public service, international relations/comparative politics, pre-law, education/teacher certification or general studies. You’ll think deeply about citizenship and democracy and debate important issues. You’ll discover how to put your knowledge into action to drive change.

Your undergraduate degree in political science will set the foundation for many careers, including in law, higher education, law enforcement, government service and politics.
At Le Moyne, you’ll choose a concentration for your political science major, which will determine some of your degree requirements.
Political science can be paired with a variety of other majors for a double major, including history, peace and global studies, theatre.
The political science department offers two minors.
Le Moyne offers a number of 3+3 agreements with excellent, American Bar Association-accredited law schools that allow qualified Le Moyne students to attend their law schools to complete their degrees at both institutions within six years total – a full academic year off the usual requirement to complete both. Sometimes, there are tuition savings as well.
You will study American and international politics, public opinion, state governments, legal research and writing, criminal law and U.S. diplomatic history.
