Snapshots from the Month

John H. Eckmair ’07

The 2025 Founders’ Day Gala returned to where it all began at the historic Marriott Syracuse Downtown. We celebrated John H. Eckmair ’07, Senior Vice President at Utica National, for his professional accomplishments, service to the community and ongoing commitment to his alma mater. John received the Simon Le Moyne Medal, the College’s highest honor, surrounded by family, friends and alumni.

Firehouse Dedication

On a glorious fall day, we welcomed alumni, community leaders, and friends to campus to tour several newly dedicated spaces: the DiLaura Inspiration and Design Lab, McNeil Firehouse, Curtis Quad and Terrace, and McGill Gateway and Terrace. These beautiful additions reflect our ongoing commitment to creating environments where students can learn, collaborate, and recharge.

Community Cleanup of the Salt Springs Neighborhood

Le Moyne students and neighbors rolled up their sleeves for a Neighborhood Clean-Up, sponsored by The Le Moyne Way and the Salt Springs Neighborhood Association. More than 150 volunteers gathered at the McNeil Firehouse before heading out to care for the streets and green spaces that surround our campus.

Ensemble cast performing in Beowulf

Audiences have delighted in the performances of Beowulf, as the 1000-year-old epic came to life in a new 21st century multimedia retelling of the ancient tale of heroes and monsters and the power of community in the face of fear.

The Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi Rinpoche '01

We welcomed The Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi Rinpoche ’01 home to The Heights to explore a timeless question in a modern age: what does it mean to be human in the era of AI?

Campus tour group

We welcomed so many future Phins and their families to campus for our Fall Open Houses. If you couldn’t join us (or want to explore more of The Heights), we’d love to have you visit soon!
