Policies and Procedures

Intramural Sign-Up Procedures
Sign-up dates of all major activities are posted in our calendar. Notices announcing each IM sign-up meeting will also be posted at various campus locations and announced in the Dolphin. It is MANDATORY that each team have a representative in attendance. Team roster and refundable $15 deposit are due at this time. No late rosters will be accepted. All sign-up meetings will be held in the lounge between the Rec Center and the Athletic Center.

Forfeit Policy
Forfeiting an intramural contest is inconsiderate and a waste of time and money. Therefore, teams should consist of an adequate number of players. If a team forfeits more than one contest, it will lose its deposit. Forfeiting more than two contests can cause a team to be dropped from competition.

Protest Procedures
Students have the right to protest. A protest must be filed in writing within 24 hours of the game in question and submitted to the intramural director. A $10 deposit must accompany the protest and is refunded if found valid. If the protest goes through, two members of the intramural council will make a determination of a decision and report it to the intramural director, who will relay it to the students. Please be aware that an official's judgment is not protestable.

Officials and Scorekeepers
The intramural program is a student oriented and student participation organization, and as a result, we need the cooperation and assistance of the general student population in managing the program. Even if you do not actively participate in intramurals, you can help by being an official or scorekeeper. Your service is greatly appreciated and you will be paid. Anyone interested in becoming an official or scorekeeper must see the IM Director or student director prior to the season. In order to provide the best possible service, training sessions for officials will be held prior to the season.
