Our Stories

They are ready. They are prepared. They are serious. They are graduates of Upward Bound, a program housed on the Le Moyne campus that prepares students local high school students for success in college and well beyond.

Sometimes Dolphins swim in different directions, but they always find their way back to one another. The members of the Class of 1969 certainly know this to be true. They recently came back to Le Moyne to commemorate the 50th anniversary of their graduation from the Heights, to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2019, and to give back to a place that means so much to them.

Le Moyne Emergency Medical Services is a New York State Recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) First Response Agency run by student volunteers. Le Moyne EMS has been operating since January of 2019, and we have run just shy of 100 calls. Of those calls, only 29% of them required outside agencies to arrive and transport. The majority of our call volume is handled by our EMTs and attendants, who are state-certified and well equipped to assess and treat patients.

There were plenty of welcoming smiles, and a few tearful goodbyes, as the members of the Class of 2023 moved onto the Heights.

A graduate degree at Le Moyne can unlock countless doors. From health care to education to business to art, the College offers a variety of dynamic, innovative programs to help students reach their highest potential professionally, and to serve their communities with skill and integrity.

These young alumni are prepared to face the world’s biggest challenges and to work for a cause greater than themselves. In short, they’re ready, as Saint Ignatius said, to “go forth and set the world on fire.”

Dolphins understand that love is shown more in deeds than words. That’s why Mission Day is so important to us. It’s an opportunity for us to step off campus and into the community.
