Le Moyne’s Board of Regents is taking on an expanded role to champion the College’s core passions of academic excellence and campus vibrancy. Beyond athletics, there are 50 distinct passions in these areas, and the regents will now focus their efforts on advancing them. Each regent will serve as an advocate for a program that holds personal meaning, ranging from the sciences and spiritual wellness to global engagement and the performing arts, further strengthening Le Moyne’s mission and impact.

As the regents take on expanded responsibilities, three new members have joined the board (from left to right above):

  • Mary Beth Brennan ’81, of Hilton Head, S.C., is passionate about developing leaders and fostering holistic education. She is committed to advancing the Le Moyne Way: a Jesuit tradition that educates the whole person while emphasizing academic excellence, care for others and service to the greater good.
  • Sarah Hetterich ’17, of Chicago, is a leasing agent for Luxury Living Chicago Realty where she brings a blend of her marketing expertise and knowledge of Chicago neighborhoods to her work. Sarah is carrying on her father’s legacy by supporting the Hetterich Center for Global Engagement and Societal Impact, which provides students with opportunities to engage with diverse perspectives and global issues.
  • Marguerite Juliusson ’78, also of Chicago, is a partner at Juliusson + Ratcliffe, representing TV commercial directors for major clients such as Bud Light and Gatorade. Marguerite is championing the performing arts at Le Moyne, bringing her expertise as an art producer in film and television.

“Our Board of Regents members are deeply committed to Le Moyne’s mission and to creating an environment where students can flourish both academically and personally,” said Board of Regents Chair Bonita Lindberg ’79. “We are excited to welcome these new members, whose dedication, energy and vision will help us expand opportunities for students and elevate the vibrancy of campus life.”

The Board of Regents has long played an important role in the College’s annual Founders’ Day celebration, one of Le Moyne’s most prestigious events. This year’s Founders’ Day, taking place Oct. 17 at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown, will continue that tradition of honoring individuals who embody Le Moyne’s Jesuit mission while raising funds for scholarships and student experiences. A highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Simon Le Moyne Medal, one of the College’s highest honors, which recognizes individuals for outstanding leadership benefiting society and reflects the ideals of Simon Le Moyne, S.J. – peace, faith, vision and courage. This year’s honoree is John Eckmair ’07 of Utica National.

“The regents are invaluable partners in advancing Le Moyne’s mission,” said Jim Joseph ’83, Ed.D. ’23, vice president for advancement and innovation and executive dean of the Madden College of Business and Economics. “They have always played a vital role in Founders’ Day, and this new focus on supporting the College’s passions will strengthen our academic programs, enrich student experiences, and ensure our community continues to thrive.” To learn more visit the Board of Regents website here.
